Which Internet Browser To Pick Youtube Video

What Internet Browser is best

Mac users have a choice from 4 main browsers even though there are many more. There is Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Camino. All of these browsers are great and only vary slightly. I'll start of with my favorite browser, Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox Has support for Add-ons which some of are incredible, and though it is not the fastest it still is fast. Next on my list is Safari. Safari comes standard on all macs now and is the fastest internet browser for macs too. It is a simple browser which can be good and bad. If you are a small internet user who just uses their web browser to do small things, I think Safari is the best option for you. Next, is Opera. Like Safari, Opera is a fast browser but unlike Safari, it is not simple at all. There are Add-On Gadget things that you can download and use but are nothing like Firefox's. Opera is a great backup browser and for some people a great browser. Lastly, there is Camino. I don;t see the point of Camino. It is supposed to be a Mozilla based browser or in other words it is supposed to be like Firefox but it has no support for Add-ons that I know about. I think if you are using Camino, Tryout a different browser and think about why you are using Camino. Some say it is faster than Firefox and takes up less CPU/RAM and I agree, but so does Safari and Opera.

How To: Get free music using playlist.com and downloadhelper

In order to get free music using playlist.com, you must have Firefox first. I suggest the newest version but the older ones will work too. Firefox can be found at Firefox.com. Once you have Firefox, you need to get downloadhelper which I have talked about in other tutorials. Downloadhelper can be found at Downloadhelper.net. From here click download this extension then you will need to restart firefox and be ready to move on to the next step. Once you are ready to move on, go to Playlist.com and then type in the song or artist you want in the search bar, and hit enter. Once the search results appera, hit play on the song you want. After it starts playing, your downloadhelper icon in firefox will start moving around. Click on the arrow next to the graphic and sellect the mp3 file and then hit save. The download will be done within 20 seconds and when it is done you may drag it into iTunes or any other player and it should import the song name, artist and album.

Review of: Hulu.com

Hulu.com is a great way to watch free movies and tv shows online. Hulu.com has clips of movies and tv shows too. During most of selections on Hulu.com there are very small commercials (15 or 30 secs) a few times. There are around 6 in a 45 minute tv show that is normally 1-hour on tv and around 4 small commercials during a 22 minute tv show, normally a 30 minute tv show without commercials. I have watched a couple if things on Hulu and liked it a lot. I am going to watch the First Season of Bones on it and the commercials are not a problem at all. Most of the videos you can view in 480p which is standard tv quality (480x640 pixels). This looks fine in the full screen setting. Give Hulu.com a look and tell me what you think about it.

iPhone 3g

The iPhone is coming out the 11th and I am exited. I think the software will get a lot better review than the new phone itself. When I watched Steve Jobs's keynote presentation, I was much more exited about the software than the new 3g capabilities. Though the internet is faster, it sill takes over a minute to load a page. I am very exited about the app store and wish I was under AT&T so I could buy one. People who are already members of AT&T beware becasue you do not have the same price for the iPhone as new members do. The low price goes a long with a contract which makes me a little bit confused but it is great for people switching over to At&T.

StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is a great way to find new websites and to spread sites that you discover. StumbleUpon adds a toolbar to your Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, and after you set up an account and fill in what you like, you are ready to "Stumble." Stumbling is not falling but it is actually when you click the large Stumble! button on your new toolbar. This takes you to a site that was submitted to SU (StumbleUpon) and is related to the things that you like. If you like the site that you have just stumbled on, you give it a thumbs up and if you don't, you give it a thumbs down. These markings impact how the site is spread. The more thumbs up a site gets, the more people there will be who stumble on your site. I am a member of StumbleUpon and I love stumbling. If you have a site that you like give it a thumbs up on StumbleUpon and that will help the site traffic to the site.

How to: Change and Modify Your Leopard Dock

Some people don't like the standard Leopard dock and there are a few ways to customize it. If you don't like your dock, go to Leoparddocks.com. Once there browse around until you find a dock that you prefer over the original one. You can find different indicators, make the dock 2-D and other things too. Once you found the selection you would like, click the Download link. Next, on the menu on the right side of the page, select LeopardDocks App Once the page loads select download. This small application will help you change the dock back and forth, add spaces in between the applications, and revert back to the default dock. Once you download it, open the .dmg (disk image file) and drag the application into the applications folder. Then, launch the application, select "choose folder..." and hit browse then find where you downloaded the dock from before. Select it then hit the button that says Change My Dock!. The dock will be relaunched and you will have the new dock. You may add spaces to your dock for organization or revert back to the original dock.

How to: Add a recent application stack on Leopard

In OSX leopard, there is something called stacks which shows can show you many things including the most recent applications. This involves a couple of terminal hacks though so make sure everything valuable is backed up on your computer. First open up terminal and type in defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add '{ "tile-data" = { "list-type" = 1; }; "tile-type" = "recents-tile"; }'. Press enter then in terminal type in killall Dock (this is case sensitive).
This will close the dock and reopen it in seconds. Once finished, you should have a recent applications stack. You can change this to recent documents, recent servers, favorite volumes and favorite items just by simply clicking and holding on it and holding and then selecting what you want. My Macbook

I received my refurbished Black Macbook and I love it so far. It is fast at everything and everything was ready right out of the box. So far, I have no regrets going refurbished and I most likely never will. iWork 08 seems great and I didn't know that you get 2 serial keys (two people can use the product legally). My printer is also working incredibly. I am yet to get my rebate on it because it is a little bit confusing, but knowing apple, everything will be fine. Please tell me if you have any comments or questions.

How to: track a shipping order (fedex, ups, brown, whatever)

There are many ways to track a shipped item through various shipping companies. One way is to copy the tracking number that was given to you and put it into Google. I am sure this works with FedEx but I don't know about anything else. Another way is to go to the shipping companies website (for example fedex.com) and then put in your tracking number. Lately, I have found a website called isnoop.net. Isnoop shows a map of what is being tracked and where it is. Once you are at isnoop.net, you may put in your UPS, FedEx, USPS, or DHL/AirBorne tracking number. Once loaded, you will see a map of where the item was and where it is. After this, I created a keyword on Firefox. You do this by taking the location (in the address bar) which is http://isnoop.net/tracking/index.php?t=YOUR TRACKING NUMBER HERE. Then open up the bookmarks sidebar, right click and select new bookmark, and type in the address I just told you in the location field of the new bookmarks. Then change where is says YOUR TRACKING NUMBER HERE to %s. Then add a name and a keyword. The keyword should be a short simple word that is easy to remember. Mine is track. Now, if you go to the address bar and type in track (or your keyword) then your tracking number, it will load the page for example track 7777777777777. This is great and it has already helped me with tracking my Macbook. Please feel free to leave a response if you have a comment or question.

Along with the laptop, I bought a 4gb flash drive by crucial, a printer, iWork 08, and a mini-DVI to VGA adapter so I can connect it to my external monitor. My macbook will arive around the 17th so I will give an update then and most likely will post many tutorials on stuff I have just learned. Please leave a response if you have a comment or question.

Udpate: WWDC

The WWDC happened earlier today and Steve Jobs really focused on the 3g iPhone. The 3g iPhone has faster WiFi, and faster everything due to its 3g capabilities. The iPhone also has a larger hard drive, gps, a few more applications including app store where you can buy applications for your iPhone and better battery life. You can find out more about the new iPhone here. I am very disappointed that no new Macbook or other product has come out yet. Please leave a response if you have a comment or question.

How to: Make Money Online

One way of making money online is through Google Adsense. Google Adsense puts small ads on your website or blog that have related content. You make money every time someone clicks on the ad. You need a Google acount and a credit card for this to work. I recently found this site and I thought it was very helpful. Please post a response if you have a comment or question.

Apples WWDC

The World Wide Developers Convention is happening June 9th. There is expected to be a 3g iPhone with better access and other perks. They will most likely refresh the laptop line, not just update them. I am expecting a new laptop (I will call it the Macbook+) with a larger standers hard drive and a faster processor and possibly a better graphics card. The Macbook is one of Apples computers that have been out a long time. If they make a new Macbook+, it is likely that they will do the same for the Macbook Pro. I am looking to buy a Macbook but am thinking about waiting a little bit longer just in case. I am expecting a smalll upgrade to the Mac Mini too. It has been a while since they updated the Minis. Please post any of your expectations and I will try to make a post after WWDC.

How to:Make A PC Look Like An Apple

This post will have several tips for how to make a PC like a mac.

Step 1- Move the start menu. To do this simply right click on the taskbar and click on the unlock the taskbar option. Next, click and drag the taskbar to the top of the screen. The menu won't look like apple but at least it will be in the same place.

Step 2- Change your background. To do this search google images for Mac OS X Leopard. Click on the image twice so you see the full size. Right click on the image and select set as desktop background. You now have the standard Apple background.

Step 3- Bootskin. Bootskin is an application that allows you to change your startup screen. If you download and install Bootskin you can select the Mac OS X startup screen.

How to: change the icon of your folder in Leopard

The folders that come standard in leopard, can be very boring. To change the icon of a folder, first you have to find which icon you would like to change the folder to. There are icon packs throughout the web that have many icons that would work well in a leopard OS. Once you have the icon you want, find the folder you want to change. Then, right click (ctrl click), and select get info. In the top left hand corner, there is the current image of the folder. Copy the image you would like to have as the new folder icon, and paste it in where the current icon is. It should change after that.
Please post any comments or questions you have.

DVD Ripping

DVD Ripping is the process of taking a DVD from a disc and putting it onto iTunes, Windows Media Player, or any other video player. To rip DVDs you will need a couple things. First, you obviously need the DVD you want to rip. Next, you need a DVD ripping application, my choices are Handbrake for Apple Computers and AoA DVD Ripper for PCs. Keep in mind that AoA is only a trial but there are serial sharing programs although I don't encourage them. After your program is downloaded place the movie in the DVD drive and open Handbrake or AoA. I recommend creating a folder to rip the movies into. Select your destination and click Start. Thanks for reading, good luck, and please post comments.

How to pick the right apple computer for you

I prefer apple computers over PCs so I will show you which mac to buy depending on what you need.
1. What you need to decide first, is laptop or desktop. Once you have decided you may proceed to the next step.
2. How much power do you need. If basic, go to 3 and 4, for average, go to 5 and 6, and for advanced, go to 7 and 8.
3. Macbook Air. The Macbook Air is made for portability over power. This laptop comes with a slow processor and no CD drive. As some critics say, the Air is merely, "a toy."
4. Mac Mini. The Mac Mini is a personal computer made with someone who is just making a switch form Pc to Mac. The mac Mini is made if you already have a keyboard, monitor, and mouse.
5. Macbook. The Macbook is an advanced personal laptop. This laptop has the capability of being you laptop with some serious power.
6. iMac. The iMac is the ultimate personal computer. The iMac can fulfill nearly anyones needs and can do nearly any task.
7. Macbook Pro. The Macbook Pro is a personal/business laptop. It has some incredible power and is better than most laptop PCs.
8. Mac Pro. The Mac Pro is an expensive ultimate computer. This as an above personal computer.
When buying a Apple computer, I would suggest looking at the refurbished section. You can save up to $400 or more.

Open Office

Microsoft Office is the most common piece of business software. However, it is extremely expensive to purchase. Fortunately, there is an open-source program that measures up to Microsoft Office. Open Officeis a free program that has all of the features of Microsoft Office. In addition, Open Office can open Microsoft Word documents and vice-versa. Open Office runs smoothly and has no cost or catch involved. I strongly recommend Open Office as your primary work processing application. Thank you for reading and please leave comments.

Forwarding Gmail

If you have a Gmail account in addition to a second email address there is a way to link them together. First, sign in to your Gmail and go to your inbox. Next, click on the settings tab in the upper right hand corner. An orange screen will appear with a list of options under the title. Click on the Forwarding/POP tab, third from the right. There will be a screen with a sub-section about forwarding with two options. Click the forward a copy to bubble and type in your alternate email address. Thank you for reading and feel free to post responses.

How to: Use torrents

Torrents are a great way to get what you need on a computer. I suggest two applications depending on what Operating system you have. For a PC, I suggest uTorrent. This bittorent application is very basic but can be customized to your needs. For a Mac, I would suggest Transmission Now that you have a torrent application, you need to find a torrent to download. I would suggest two websites, Mininova and isoHunt. What you will do is got of one of the websites, and type in what you need in the search box. Then, you are trying to find a torrent that has many seeds and not as many peers. Additionally, the feedback will be very helpful. I would suggest sorting your search by seeds than picking one with the most reviews or feedback. Once you have picked a torrent, click download. Once downloaded, open it up with the torrent application I suggested downloading before (uTorrent or Transmission). This process will take a while depending on the amount of seeds and peers the torrent has. Thank you for reading and please post a response if you have a comment or question.

How to add a dock to your windows computer

Many people want a mac-like dock on a windows. There are two docks that I would suggest downloading and trying. There is Rocketdock and Objectdock. I use both and I haven't found which one I like the most. With both of these docks, the skins are customizable and there are leopard downloadable skins too. An advantage of Rocketdock is that instead of a window being minimized to the taskbar on windows, it is minimized to the dock instead. An advantage to the Objectdock is that it has a weather widget and when you hover over it, 5 weather icons pan out and it looks really nice. Please leave feedback saying which dock you like and why or any other feedback.

Thank you and keep checking for more tutorials.

Openning RAR and other archives

I have had a couple of questions on how to open RAR file archives. You will normally come across it after downloading a file from the web. It is like a ZIP but more compressed. For Windows users, I would suggest using an open source application called Izarc. Izarc is a compression/decompression peice of software that I really like. It is basically a free version of winZIP or WinRAR. You can download it by going to Izarc's download page Once downloaded and installed, Simply open the archive that needs to be opened with Izarc. Izarc is also a great file compressor that I use when I need to back up anything on my computer. Thanks for reading and email me or post a response if you have any questions or comments.

Make Windows XP faster and more efficient Youtube Video

Make Windows XP faster and more efficient Youtube Video

Make Windows XP faster and more efficient

In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to make your Windows XP computer faster using two tweaks. For both of these, right click on my computer and select properties. In the properties window, select advanced. From there select settings under performance. A new window will open up and this is were the two small tweaks change. For the fist one, stay in the visual effects tab and select custom. I would then suggest checking the following boxes: use visual styles on windows and buttons, use common tasks on folders, smooth edges of screen fonts, and show window's contents while dragging. Once you have selected the options you would like, click apply. For the next tweak, you go to advanced instead of visual effects. Select change under virtual memory. As an initial and maximum value, use double your memory, For example, I have 512 mb of ram, so my initial and maximum value would be 1024 mb or 1000 mb. For 1024 mb or 1 gb, it would be 2048 mb or 2000 mb.
Please post any comments you think of and keep posted for more updates.

Google.com

Many people know how to use Google.com as a way to get free music and movies but I will explain for the people who don't know. First, go to Google.com. Once there, depending on what you want, there are two main things to type in. The first is: "type what you want here" intitle:"index.of" "parent directory" "size" "last modified" "description" (mp4|mp3|wmv) -inurl:(jsp|php|html|aspx|htm|cf|shtml|lyrics-realm|mp3-collection) -site:.info. This one is for mp3 music and mp4 videos but can be changes. Say you are looking for an avi file, you would have (avi) in place of (mp4|mp3|wmv). The other option is typing in: index of"parent directory" "type what you want here" -xxx -html -htm -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5su. This will just look for everything that someone has uploaded related to your keyword. These google hacks are very long and nearly impossible to remember, so firefox has a way to get around that. First, in place of your keywork, type in something easy to find, then search it on Google. For example, I would search index of"parent directory" "BLAAA!" -xxx -html -htm -shtml -opendivx -md5 -md5su. Then when google is done loading, I would copy the url it has given me, mine is: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS259US259&q=index+of%22parent+directory%22+%22BLAAA%21%22+-xxx+-html+-htm+-shtml+-opendivx+-md5+-md5su&btnG=Search
Then, press ctrl+B (apple+b for macs) to open up the bookmarks and create a new bookmark. Once you have the small new bookmark window open, copy in the url from your previous search into the location field. Then, find you "easy to find" keyword and replace it with %s. In my search, I would replace %22BLAAA%21 with %22%s%21. Next is to set up a keyword, name and description. The keyword is the most important. This is the word i will use to perform this search. For example, my keyword is g (for Google). Then, if you did it correctly, when you go to the adress bar and type in your keyword then what you want to search for, the results would be the same as if you types the whole thing out yourself. I will soon try to post a youtube video tutorial on this and embed it into my website so keep looking but in the meantime, I would suggest checking out Jimmyr's tutorial on how to do this at http://youtube.com/watch?v=sRv953XZX6Y or Jimmr.com.
Thank you very much for reading and I hope you leave a comment or at least a thums up on Stumbleupon or Digg.

Flv download helper youtube video

Flv download helper youtube video

Flv Download helper

The next tip only works if you have Firefox. First, go here and download the downloadhelper. What this does is it takes the video in a website and t downloads it onto your desktop. The only problem is that it is in an flv format. To convert it I suggest freeflvconverter for a PC and for a mac, iSquint
Once you have it downloaded, go to a site that has a streaming movie and the three balls fill start moving around. Then you click on it and download it. I suggest a website like tv-links.cc or tv-links.eu but anything with streaming video will work. youtube.com will work well too. Once you have it downloaded, you will use a converter to make it the format you want. I will post a Youtube video soon because this theory is a little bit confusing.
Please post responses if your need any help or if you would like to comment.

Megaupload.com

For both free albums and movies, megaupload.com is perfect. If you visit megaupload.com, you will not be able to find any other files. What you will have to do is got to google.com and type in site:megaupload.com "what you want." For example, if I would like the album T.I. vs. T.I.P., I would type in site:megaupload.com T.I. vs. T.I.P and I would get this page. The first link looks pretty good so I might go ahead and click on it (depending on the format, most albums will be between 75mb and 130mb, and movies between 350mb and 750mb, all files drastically larger or smaller are probably fake). When I click on the link, I get this page, Then, I have a couple of options. If you are a free user, you will have to wait 30 seconds after entering the code in the top-right-center hand corner and will have to wait a while before downloading another file. The other option is a "premium link generator" which can be found on google. An example is mega.dl.
Many of the files that you will download will be compressed files. I recommend izarc if you cannot open the file. Izarc is a free compression/decompression open source piece of software. Once you open the file, unzip/extract the contents and it should be ready to play.

If you have firefox, there is a shortcut you can use so you don't have to type in site:megaupload.com and all that on google. First, simply go to google and type in site:megaupload.com laaaaaaaaaa. The laaaaaaaaa is there to find in the next step but you can use whatever you want. Second, go to your bookmarks (ctrl+b) and make a new one right click anywhere, then, "new bookmark." Once you have the new bookmark window open, create a name and as the location, paste the results for your google search from the address bar into the location. My location was http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Amegaupload.com+laaaaaaaaaa&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS259US259.
Then, find where you put the laaaaaaaaaaa or whatever you put and replace it with %s.
Then simply choose a keyword. Finally to use this shortcut, you type in the address bar your keyword then what you want to search for. For example, since my keyword is mega, I would type in mega american pie, to see what american pie movies megaupload has.

Thank you for looking and please post a response!
